The local church began in 1899 with 35 members.  God granted our church with continuous growth to become one of the largest Latin American congregations in the state.  By 1969 the total membership was 770 and by then, Rev. Carlos Paderes had served as Pastorate for over 27 years. Thoughout the duration of his ministry, the Lord continued to pour His special blessing on our ministry here.  This beautiful ministry of our Lord sent Rev. Paderes to take the gospel around the world on Evangelistic tours.  Venezuela, Japan, Phillippine Islands, Puerto Rico, Panama, and Mexico are only a few of the places we have taken the Gospel.  We have ministered His work and have felt the responsibility of sharing by contributing thousands of dollars to world missions.  May God continue to bless us richly as we take the Word of our Lord Jesus Christ to others.  "Giving Thanks always for all things unto God and the father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."     Our present building was completed in 1959.  The mosaic work above the front door was designed by Rev. Paredes.
